You can download the FastX client from the ITS software download page. After signing in with your HawkID find the FastX link and click on it. On the next page that opens up you will see buttons to download a client. Select the one that is appropriate for your system. Notice that there is also a listing of the license server and port. Take note of these as they will have to be entered after the program is installed. The installation procedures are fairly standard but for more details see the FastX page on the Engineering Wiki. Note that you will need to connect to a VPN for off-campus access. Unless you already have access to the Engineering VPN use the UI Anywhere VPN service.
Once the program is installed you should be able to launch it in the way other programs are run on your system. Once the FastX client has launched you will need to enter the license information. To do that click on the Help menu and select Register. In the resulting dialog select License Server for the Activation Method. Enter the license server and port from the download page and enter into the respective boxes and click on the Okay button.
