Matlab is currently available for use centrally on the HPC cluster systems of the University of Iowa. One may use the Matlab environment by loading the appropriate Matlab version module. To see which Matlab versions are available, use the module command like so:
user@hpc-login:~]$ module avail
When you find the version you want, then load that module by typing
[user@hpc-login:~]$ module load matlab_R2012b VERSION
