Adding Additional Users to an IDAS Class Instance

When to add additional users

Students enrolled in the course, the primary instructor, and students officially auditing the course (enrolled for 0 s.h.) are automatically granted access to the IDAS environment for a given course. Additional users can be granted access at any time by editing the submitted IDAS Class Use Request form. This is useful for granting access to TA's, additional instructors, and people unofficially auditing the class.

Steps to add additional users

1. Login to Workflow

2. Navigate to the "My Initiated Packages" section of your Inbox and click on the form submission for the IDAS class use request.



3. Click "Edit submitted data" (located below the display of submitted values).



4. Use the Additional Users field to search for & select the people to grant access to.

Please do not edit data in any other fields, as other changes are not automatically processed at this time. If you need to make other adjustments to your request, please https://research.its.uiowa.edu/contact-us.

5. Click "Submit edits to Workflow" at the bottom of the page.

If the status of your form in Workflow is "complete", the new additional user(s) will have access within two hours.

If the status of your form in Workflow is "routing", the new additional user(s) will have access once your request is processed, and you will receive an email when this is done.
