Transfer data to your computer

Globus Online can be used to transfer data from a Globus Collection to your computer.

The directions below assume that you are transferring data which is available via the uiowadata#data Collection or you have a Globus Online sharing link. To transfer data from a different source, you will need to use the appropriate Collection and Path to connect to the data collection.

To download one file:

  1. Access the data source using Globus Online

    1. In a web browser, navigate to Globus Online by using a link to the data source which has been shared with you or visit https://app.globus.org/file-manager.

    2. When prompted to login, select "University of Iowa" from the drop-down list of organizations and then click Continue. This will redirect you to the University of Iowa login page where you can log in with your HawkID.

Login to use Globus Web App with a red rectangle around the organization search box and continue button
